In early November, at Jackson High School, approximately 400 of Southeast Missouri's finest high school and middle school musicians gathered to compete for positions in the Southeast Missouri All-District High School Band and All-District Middle School Band.

This year five from Perryville Middle School were selected to the Band. Middle school members are: (from left) Jonny Pruiett (8th chair trombone); Kennedy Murakami (7th chair saxophone); Sasha Moore, (17th chair clarinet); Justin Gross (7th chair trumpet); and Emily Kuehn (3rd chair French horn).

The students traveled to Sikeston High School to rehearse with the All- District Band. The concert was held in the Sikeston Field House. The Middle School All-District Band was under the direction of Herman Byrd and the High School All-District Band was under the direction of Barry Bernhardt.
