Two Perry County Middle School students recently won awards for their writing skills. Kayla Buchheit (above, left) Macey Stueve are both sixth graders at PCMS. Kayla is the daughter of Glennon and Laura Buchheit of Perryville. She won second place in the Missouri State Poetry Society Youth Poetry Contest in the sixth grade division series. Macey is the daughter of Glen and Valerie Stueve of Perryville. She received an honorable mention for her entry in the SEMO writing contest, essay division Grades 4-6.
