Special Olympics Spring Games on April 21

Athletes from all around the state will be packing their bags to compete in the Special Olympics in Cape Girardeau on April 21. Track and field events along with games, food, and fun will be taking over the student rec center of Southeast Missouri State University.

The athletes have trained for a minimum of eight weeks for the sports they wish to participate in. You can expect to see athletes compete in healthy competition with their eyes on the gold.

"Local volunteers like the fraternities and sororities of Southeast look forward to this event every year," said Sigma Nu fraternity president Ryan Wilson.

Come support these exceptional athletes as they compete to move on to state and national events! Competition start at 8 a.m. and will run through 4 p.m.
