On April 18th at 6pm the SEMO Campus area AKA the Innovation Center will be crowded with area runners and walkers. All 172 people who are so far registered will be bringing their excitement and enthusiasm to the campus to support awareness of the issue of sexual assault. The event organized by Amber Brewer, a SEMO Business student and Millicent Odhiambo of the VICTORY Program seeks to make the community more aware the resources available to victims and to let victims know they don't have to deal with the issues of sexual assault alone. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Beacon Health Center, a child advocacy and adult sexual violence response center.
