Cape Central Junior High School Students Ella Valleroy, center, and Elizabeth Ustinov, right, are winners in the Southeast Missouri State University's Missouri Writing Achievement Contest. Pictured at left is the students' teacher, Gifted Facilitator Emily Goode, who entered their work on their behalf. Ella's poem, "I Am From," won 2nd Place in the Poetry Division. Elizabeth's entry, a fictional story, "Plan Blitzkrieg," won 1st Place in the Fiction Division.

Mrs. Goode commented, "I am very proud of Elizabeth and Ella. They are both excellent students who exhibit wonderful creativity and imagery in their writing."
