Vandivorts to hold Reunion for 54th Year

Vandivort Family members will begin assembling in Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, July 3rd for their 54th annual Family Reunion. Descendants of Clyde and Julia Vandivort will tour their farms (Vandivort Properties, Inc.), have a business meeting, and hear Dr. Paul Vandivort of St. Louis, Missouri tell them the family legend of their ancestor Linus Sanford. Dr. Vandivort will recite that tale from the dungeon underneath the Cape Courthouse at 10:00 a.m. on July 5th, and for many it will be the highlight of the reunion. Nearly one hundred members of the family, coming from across this United States, will enjoy meals, camaraderie, and celebrate their heritage in Southeast Missouri. Children and parents alike will enjoy Lazy L Safari Park, a family BBQ at Cape County Park, and a golf tournament at a local course.
