The SoutheastHEALTH Auxiliary has donated $60,000 to the SoutheastHEALTH Foundation.
The Auxiliary presented the check to Southeast officials at a luncheon held recently at the Hospital. The funds will benefit the Employee and Patient Assistance Funds maintained through the Foundation.
The Foundation provides support for more than 1,000 patients annually with critical needs such as medications, utility bills and housing.
More than 600 SoutheastHEALTH staff members are helped by the Employee Assistance Fund to meet critical, emergency needs.
A program about the significant support the funds help provide annually was presented by Patricia Ranzini, Foundation Executive Director, and Julie Metzger, Case Management/Social Services Director.
SoutheastHEALTH President and CEO Ken Bateman also spoke, updating Auxiliary members about ongoing progress throughout the health system.
New Auxiliary officers were installed. They are: President, Julia Cook; Vice President/President-Elect Gary Gaines; Recording Secretary Linda Burns; Treasurer, Betty Heisserer; and Corresponding Secretary Linda Burns.
