The Brain Injury & Stroke Resource Group of Cape Girardeau County met Oct. 8 for its annual bonfire at the Cape Elks Lodge Lake area. There the group enjoyed roasting hot dogs and eating homemade chili. Along with the bonfire they enjoyed a late afternoon playing washers and yard tic tac toe. The bonfire is the time in which the winners of the SEMO Dist Fair raffle baskets. Winners included: Chasity Bercey of Cape Girardeau who won the Women's Basket filled with lotions, perfume, note pads, jewelry and much more; Ryan Benton of Jackson won the St. Louis Gift Basket filled with St. Louis Cardinal memorabilia, a poster and a signed baseball with signatures including Matt Adams and Greg Garcia, Elizabeth Schott won the Men's bucket filled with car wash, tools and gift certificates which was re-donated by the original winner Kennith Williams of Sikeston.
