The Cape Girardeau Evening Lions Club held its First Annual Cornhole Tournament at The Library (Downtown Cape) as the rain lifted, Saturday, October 2 enjoying a great turnout, fellowship and bag throwing.
The team of Terry Schnurbusch and Dalton Hall took First Place in a down to the wire contest defeating Smoky and Shell.
Many attendees took the challenge of throwing three bags to make three holes while wearing special glasses provided by Club Member Dr. Laura Evans of Leet Eyecare. No one was able to do all three for the $100 prize but Terry Schnurbusch and Trevor Denton were able to take consolation prizes!
Dru Leet won the 50/50 Drawing donating the winnings back helping the Cape Girardeau Evening Lions Club serve needs in the local community with the Calvin R. Wells Scholarship and worldwide through LCIF, KidSight MO, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Mid-South Lions and World Services for the Blind.
The Cape Girardeau Evening Lions want to thank the Cape Girardeau Noon Optimist Club for lending your Club President, Kevin Denton to be the event's emcee.
