RSVP/VIC (a not-for-profit organization that finds volunteers for local agencies from young people to those retired) is hosting a new fundraiser. All agencies are feeling the pain from budget cuts, and RSVP/VIC is no different. This crazy activity will raise funding to help create ways to aid veterans, our military and other organizations that need volunteers.

It is called Horseshoes 4 "everyday" HEROES Tournament and will be held on Saturday, September 27 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Al Friga Farm located between Chaffee and Oran. The Marine Corps League will present the Color Guard/Honor Guard before the tournament begins. Cost is $25.00 per person/$50.00 per team.

For those local to Cape Girardeau / New Hamburg / Chaffee / Jackson, etc., the event is designed like the Kow Pasture Klassic except wooden horseshoes will be used at 12 different pit obstacles. You don't have to know how to pitch horseshoes for this one and some of the pits you will not be able to throw in the traditional way. Call RSVP/VIC at 573-335-7555 or 573-887-3664 or email: rsvpvic@sbcglobal.net
