This Memorial Day weekend the Mayfield Cultural Center will be displaying 50 quilts brought in by the Blue Creek Quilters, with one of the quilts being raffled off to benefit the newly opened performing and visual arts center. Quilts for the show have been returned to the women from across the country, coming from as far away as Florida and Texas. The show is free and open to the public over the holiday weekend from 10am to 5pm, Friday through Monday, with some of the quilters present over the weekend from noon to 3pm. On Sunday, May 24 there will a reception from 1-3pm. The show will remain up through the end of the month. The Mayfield Cultural Center can be found on facebook and is located at 209 Mayfield Drive, next to the Natural History Museum in Marble Hill.
