After searching unsuccessfully for a refrigerator for the teachers' break room at the new Franklin Elementary school, staff received a call from one of their business partners, Chateau Girardeau. "It was such a thoughtful surprise," said Principal Dr. Rhonda Dunham. Chris Schear said they would like to donate one! While it is a blessing to have one for our staff, it is especially benefiting our students. Teachers will be able to store foods and drinks as we begin implementing SW-PBS, and reward students for positive behaviors." (SW-PBS is an acronym for School Wide-Positive Behavior Support, a systematic approach to creating safer and more effective schools.) Dr. Dunham went on to explain, "In the past, we had very little cold-storage area. We greatly appreciate Chateau Girardeau's kindness." The Chateau is also assisting with several other projects, such as displaying student art work at their facility and helping to sponsor family events at Franklin. "They are awesome Partners," the principal added.
