"We are very proud of Nick and what he was able to accomplish throughout his high school career," said CHS Head Soccer Coach Dan Martin, as Nick Barnes signed his letter of intent to play for Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis. "We wish him the best of luck at the next level. He will be a great asset to Missouri Baptist."

Nick earned many honors during his Cape Central High School career. His 2012 honors include 1st Team All-Region, 1st Team All-District, 1st Team All-Conference, Silver Boot (16 goals scored, 8 assists, 2nd-highest points scored on the team) and Team Captain. In 2011 he earned All-Conference Honorable Mention.
