Element 74, a Cape Girardeau web design company, was recently presented with a district-level Silver ADDY® Award. Element 74's design of www.HeartforAfrica.org was recognized from more than 600 entries from four states. The ADDY® Awards are presented annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), a not-for-profit industry association.
According to Chris Edmonds, founder and president of Element 74, "We're very proud of the ten ADDY Awards we've already received from the local chapter, but this is the first time we've earned recognition from the district level and from such a big field of competitors. So we're especially proud of this particular accomplishment. Although we've developed numerous national sites, this is the first project we've developed for an international organization. We are quite pleased to have earned our most prestigious award thus far for such a worthwhile charity."
The AAF's Joe Mastroianni came from St. Louis to present the award to the team of Element 74 employees who were instrumental in creating the site. They include: Chris Behnken, Director of Development, Brad Davis, Project Director, and Andrew Defield, Senior Application Developer.
Mastroianni is the Governor of District 9, which is the district encompassing Southeast Missouri and one of 15 districts total. According to Mastroianni, the Heart of Africa website entered by Element 74 was one of 648 district entries from Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas, and one of ninety-two Silver ADDY® Awards given. The AAF website states: "The ADDY® Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere in the world."
