Local Olive Garden donates food to fire department for Labor Day

This Labor Day, first responders in the area received a special catered lunch, courtesy of a local restaurant.

More than 800 Olive Garden restaurants nationwide delivered and served lunch to police stations, fire stations and emergency rooms in their local communities.

Locally, the Olive Garden in Gape Girardeau delivered lunch to the Cape Girardeau Fire Department.

This is the 15th consecutive year that Olive Garden has coordinated this nationwide effort, resulting in more than 10,000 meals served from 2002 to 2016.
