The Perry County Historical Society and the Perry County Military History Museum are hosting a community open house. This even will highlight The Perry County Military Museum’s new exhibits. One is on Apollo 17, featuring many artifacts. The second display is of Native American artifacts from Perry County. The Perry County Historical Society’s Land Plat Map of 1857. This original map has been expertly restored by the Missouri State Archives, and has only been viewable by the public one other time. Staff and board members will be present to show attendees the numerous resources available to those who are interested in learning more about the story of their family, or of Perry County as a whole.

This event will be held on Thursday, March 30th 2017 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at our library and archive center on the second floor of the Perryville Higher Education Center. Snack foods and non-alcoholic drinks will be served. We hope to see you there!
