Mike's first position at FBC was Minister of Youth and Education then he transitioned to Minister of Music & Education. He became our Interim Pastor in 2004 and Senior Pastor in 2005. During his time at FBC Mike was involved in the sale of the building at 636 Broadway to the University for their new Aleen Vogel Wehking Alumni Center and Inovation Center. In 2007 Mike was also extremely involved throughout the land purchase, planning and construction process of our new facility at 1289 Lexington.

In 2009 First Baptist celebrated our 175th Anniversary with a year long celebration beginning in October 2008. In all of these major events in the past 10 years or in any department he has worked in or event he has been a part of Mike has added his very special touch. He is loved and respected by all who know him. He is a trusted, wise counselor and has a true Pastor's heart.

Pastor Mike has blessed FBC throughout these years with his many talents, countless hours of dedication, humility, integrity, an eye to the future, and with a heart for God, our church and the world beyond it. Thank you Pastor Mike, Brenda and the entire Shupert family.
