Old Navy will be conducting a food drive to benefit Southeast Missouri Food Bank in conjunction with its four-day promotional "Give & Get" campaign this weekend. Old Navy will be conducting a food drive to benefit Southeast Missouri Food Bank in conjunction with its four-day promotional "Give & Get" campaign this weekend. People are encouraged to drop off at least one of the following items (canned vegetables, fruit, soup or meat, boxed meals, hot & cold cereal, peanut butter, soap, deodorant, shampoo, or toilet paper) during store hours Thursday, July 30 through Sunday, August 2 at the West Park Mall Old Navy location in Cape Girardeau. In 2008, Southeast Missouri Food Bank, a member of Feeding America, distributed over 2.8 million pounds of food to hungry families in Southeast Missouri. The Food Bank is prepared to greatly surpass that amount in 2009, due to increased need in this time of extreme economic distress. As of July, over 2.3 million pounds of food have been distributed in 2009.
