Thanksgiving, a time to give thanks for all your blessings and to share those blessings with others. To instill this idea in our students, Guardian Angel School held a food drive the week before Thanksgiving, November 14-18, with a competition between the 3 Archangel houses. Even the Pre-k got to participate in this event. They became honorary members of the houses. When all the items were counted, we gathered over 700 cans, pouches, etc. of non-perishable food. The food was donated to the Oran Jaycees for them to make Thanksgiving baskets for people in need.
In the competition, St. Raphael's house collected the most food and will get a free dress down day in the near future (for K-8) and a treat for those in Pre-k. Since we had such an outstanding amount of donated food, Mrs. Kluesner gave the whole school, teachers and students, a dress down day on Monday and will get a special treat for the Pre-k students.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone from Guardian Angel School!!
