The Bollinger County Chamber of Commerce Rising Star Business of the fourth quarter of 2015 is The Hideaway Cafe. Linda and Randy Smith have owned and operated The Hideaway Cafe since 2011. Previous to taking over the cafe the Smiths spent 28 years in ambulance service and 10 years in beauty supply & salon. The Hideaway Cafe is a restaurant that has great, fresh food, good prices, and a friendly staff. This unique restaurant is located in an out of the way area, at the junction of highways A and O in Bollinger County, and serves up Country Grandma Cooking. Their food is home cooked fresh comfort style served in a slow paced pleasant eatery located in the country. They are famous in the area for their fried catfish, BBQ steaks, meatloaf, sandwiches, and cinnamon rolls. The Hideaway Cafe has been serving up food here in Bollinger County for 29 years. The Smiths believe this is due to support from the area people and city folk who likes a place to come out to.
